Really beautiful music and composition, feels very sad and nostalgic.
Great Job SourJovis!

SourJovis responds:

Thank you! Glad you like it!

Very dreamy instruments and composition.
I feel the song is way too long for what it varies since its mostly the same, maybe a loop would be more adequate for the situation?
Nice work Deshiel!

DESHIEL responds:

I got so many ideas, but I was caught in it. :)

Sounds about right, the gluing of lots of a strings of ideas...but guess what it actually sounds trippy instead of sounding incomplete :D
Its a very enjoyable 03:29 trip throughout your unfinished stuff...well actually 03:07..why are the final 22 seconds complete silence?
I have to point this out..at 01:36 the pad loops in a very annoying way that completely takes me away from the song...i have to pin you for that since it seems like something that would be easily fixable.
Nice song Quetya!

Quetya responds:

Yeah, that pad. To this day, I can't figure out how to improve upon that part. I tried increasing the release and sustain, but the loop always seems to want to cut off if the notes are the exact same tone.

As for that nearly 20 seconds of "silence". I wanted to have the focus shift to the last note I manged to slip in after 3:07ish, coming from the Exotica sampler,

Thanks for listening!

Sounds like little squirrels are screaming at me XD (just kidding)
I think it takes a little too much time before entering the interesting part (01:14), the squirrels are nice but take a bit too much time in the intro.
I love the song from 02:00 on, sounds very VERY good!
Overall the song is pretty nice, good job Josh!

SuperGoodSound responds:

thanks :) it was made with all free vst instruments, so i was just more dicking around than anything

Sounds very nice and professional, love the mixing and the quality of the instruments.
The is very happy and inspires happiness :)
About the author comments..yeah im in the same spot..im one year older than you so i understand what you are going through completely :S...good luck with that!
Great song Dutton!

DuttonsaysHi responds:

Hey thanks man ^^ I appreciate it. Yeah, it sucks but it'll pass soon I'm sure. It's just a matter of perseverance :P It's kinda the whole point of the song, to inspire good feelings (like you said) and give you the energy to push through the hard times ^^

Thanks again!

Great intro, the panning is really good and that stands out on most of the song.
I like how you kept the song shorter than might be considered average instead of repeating the same melody again and again.
Great job Rick!

586rick responds:

the melody was long enough so if was to repeat it again the song would last like 5 minutes, its quite long for the same melody. thanks for the review

I like how you made a 7 work remark about the song to explain the unusual name xD
The song has a really nice groove and is overall quite enjoyable, im not the electronica kind of guy but this sounds pretty good.
I specially like the part at 01:00, really nice!
Good Work OpenLigth!

OpenLight responds:

Thanks, Divo! I'm glad you liked this song despite generally not liking electronica haha.

This sounds like the songs we could hear on RPGs first level before the hero starts his adventure, i really like the overall feeling this gives.
The intro is nice, sets a nice dreamy mood until 00:30, the strings that enter the song after that soloing are pretty nice as well.
The bad parts:
Some times i have the feelings that things start clashing against one another and sound a bit dissonant.
The song is not very creative and plays mostly the same.
The ending is horrible, not only it ends abruptly but also ends in a note that does not give any feeling of disclosure at all.
This does not give me a feeling of happiness, maybe its the dreamy cloud surrounding the song but makes me feel like someone remembering his happy past from his sad present.
Good work Rhoder and good luck!

Rhoder responds:

What you say makes sense. As for the ending part: It's more of a loop based tune rather than a full length one. :)

Really tripy first seconds, then the next part has a nice jazzy sequence that kinda reminds me of a sonic soundtrack, i cant really put my finger what stage in specific but i know i have heard something in sonic that this reminds me of, maybe the casino level.
The song has a very funky feeling and a quite unique instrument choice all round,
The Panning is specially awesome as well, being bombarded from all sides with psychedelic sounds is a lot more enjoyable than it sounds xD
Like i said before the song reminds me of a back track for a game or a movie and probably also because im not specially fan of jazz this song is quite remarkable to hear once and to analyse several times, however i cant say this is something i want to hear every day.
The 5 minutes seem a bit long since i didn't find the song very different in all its form, but once again that might be just me and my inability to maintain focused in a song that lasts long without vocals or very distinct parts.
I would like to praise Camoshark, his solo is very well performed (and composed as well maybe?).
Soo long story short, i really liked hearing this psychedelic song you got here just think it was a bit too long.
Really nice job Skye...once again xD

SkyeWint responds:

Man, everyone keeps saying that this sounds like Sonic. I don't normally listen to Sonic music, so I wouldn't know.

You know I love panning, it's no surprise that I'd be flinging sounds all over both sides. It's actually super-helpful for mixing.

Aw, you don't want to hear this every day? :c Oh well. As long as it's something you'd want to hear every... week? Yeah, week sounds good. As long as that, then I consider myself to have succeeded. (just kidding, of course) My goal for this song was to make it jazzy but still accessible for most people so that the non-technical people could enjoy it too.

Yeah, the piece might be a bit long with 5 minutes... there are distinct parts though, even if it's only the main sections and the solo section!

The saxophone and trumpet solo stems were awesome, it made it a lot easier to get a coherent solo out of them.

...yeah, psychedelic certainly does describe it, huh.

Thanks for the review, man! Seeya around!

Very floaty and dreamy, this song is very relaxing and loops perfectly well.
Well done!

jackmusic responds:

Thanks. The trick to making something loop is ending on chord V in the key. I can't remember what key this is in but in C, I would end on a G - then it segues perfectly back to the beginning.

Sometimes I make music.
But mostly, I think about making music, fail, get sad and give up.
